A space where teenagers explore their identity, emotions, and self-expression through a shared, relevant story that we tell through the language of dance in theatre — combining different dance styles into a single narrative. Here, you choose who you want to be, choose how you want to dance, and create your own story within a collective storyline. Each term ends with The Book Performance.

What is UNTOLD?

This is not a dance school.
It is a space where a theatrical dance troupe is formed, in which each participant explores themselves, opens up, and preserves their unique individuality.

UNTOLD is a creative theatre and dance studio for teenagers aged 12–15, created by Ukrainsk Kulturförening i Sverige. Here, through movement, theatre, and embodied expression, we create a shared story that we gradually build throughout the entire course.

Movement as language. Dance and theatre become your tools. You decide how to use them — hip-hop, contemporary, improvisation. The story comes first.

This is a process of self-exploration through the body, emotions, and interaction with others, where individuality does not disappear but is instead strengthened and becomes part of a collective stage work.

Each term closes with a theatrical performance where the group takes a book, a theme, or a story and transforms it into a piece of live dance theatre. The course concludes with a live performance — The Book Performance — where your group brings a story to life through dance and theatre on a real stage at Oktoberteatern.

UNTOLD does not start with a long-term commitment. It begins with a free 3-day kick-off workshop in May — a chance to try different styles, meet the group, and feel whether this is for you. Those who want to continue return on 4 September for the full course.

Full Autumn Course

A 3-month creative journey leading toward one shared final moment — The Book Performance, a live theatrical performance where your group brings a story to life through dance, movement, and stage expression.

📍 ABF Södertälje-Nykvarn-huset, Nedre Torekällgatan 7, 151 72 Södertälje

🕕 Every Friday, 18:00–19:00

💰 Price: 1 500 SEK

👥 Group size: 10–15 participants

🎭 Final performance: January 2027 at Oktoberteatern or Spinrocken

The creators

Meet the people behind UNTOLD

UNTOLD is created and led by Ukrainsk Kulturförening i Sverige — two professionals who bring together the worlds of cultural production, dance and youth work.

Kateryna Golod

President · Ukrainsk Kulturförening i Sverige

Former Executive Producer at a national TV channel in Ukraine, Kateryna brings deep experience in storytelling, large-scale production, and cultural project management, combining artistic vision with strong organizational expertise in everything UNTOLD does. She holds a higher education degree in theatre arts, is a laureate of national competitions, and a recipient of the Shevchenko Prize. She has also worked as part of the directing team for major television talent shows, including "Ukraine's Got Talent", "So You Think You Can Dance", and "X Factor".

Iryna Bilous

Lead Teacher · Professional Dancer

A professional dancer and teacher with a background spanning contemporary dance, improvisation, hip-hop, jazz funk, Ukrainian folk and classical dance. Iryna has worked with both children and adults, always placing the story before the technique.
